OSHA is an acronym for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Their mission is to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance. Through their standards, there is a decrease in misuse of equipment, injury, and fatality. There are thousands of jobs with millions of potential hazards. Following OSHA's regulations has proven over time to be effective in decreasing workplace injuries and deaths.
