The Train the Trainer option is used to certify a trainer to teach others using the included training kit. It incorporates the online course with an additional train the trainer module, as well as the training kit. This option results in an regulation-aligned lifetime trainer certification from Hard Hat Training. This certification is not company-specific, meaning you can take it with you should you change employers.
Why Do I Need Front End Loader Safety Training?
In line with regulations, anyone who operates heavy equipment must receive training prior to operating the machine on their own. Requirements for refresher training and other processes are very specific. Most other equipment doesn’t have such specific OSHA training requirements, but it’s wise to follow the same guidelines.
When it comes to refresher health and safety training, the standards in some instances (like forklifts) are very specific: operators must be re-evaluated every three years to see if they are still competent to operate the equipment. Best practices say to apply this same rule to all types of equipment. A so-called “free-pass” cannot be awarded based on experience, age, or time on the job. The extent of the evaluation is to be determined by the employer but should include a written and practical examination that prove continued competency.

Front End Loader Frequently Asked Questions
What are front-end loaders used for?
Front-end loaders are useful for farm work, construction, or other projects that involve lifting and transporting materials. Such material may be wood, rocks, soil, or debris.
Can you dig with front-end loaders?
It’s possible to dig with a front-end loader, but it isn’t easy to. This is because a front-end loader isn’t designed to scoop material; it’s really designed to skim material off the load with a level bucket, then transport the material to its destination. Anything outside of the manufacturer’s intended use may cause you to lose traction and may put more stress on the machine than it can handle.
How much can a front-end loader lift?
A front-end loader’s lifting capacity depends on the model. On average, however, front-end loaders have a load capacity between 3,500 and 5,000 lbs. Consult your owner’s manual for the loading capacity of your specific loader.
What are the components of a front-end loader?
The two main components of a front-end loader are the hydraulic lift arms and the attachments. These attachments can be buckets, bale spears, or pitchforks, depending on what the loader is being used for. The most common attachment is the bucket.
