Description
What’s in the Stormwater Pollution Prevention TTT Course?
Our Stormwater Pollution Prevention training course is aligned with EPA standards. This course contains sections on general knowledge and background regarding governing bodies and regulations; permits that are required and why; Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs); best management practices (BMPs), and NOIs and NOTs.
State and local bodies oversee and regulate stormwater discharges from general construction activities through the Federal Construction General Permit (CGP). These discharges define the runoff of any pollutants into waters of the United States from areas where land disturbing activities (clearing, grading or excavation) occur or where construction materials or equipment are located. Complying with the conditions of this permit should lead to stormwater discharges that adhere to Federal water quality standards.
Our training walks you through the CGP. We will also discuss Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and the requirements for them. Next, we will learn about best management practices (BMPs), how to properly use and inspect them. Finally, we will cover Notice of Intent and Notice of Termination, when to file them and the requirements for them. This training course is OSHA-aligned and covers OSHA’s classroom training requirements. Each class contains sections on equipment and anatomy, maintenance and inspections, safe operations and stability, common hazards, and more. This presentation includes intermittent practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam included with the course. Upon successful completion of the course and exam, you will have immediate online access to your certificate of completion. You have the option to download the practical evaluations for the specific course. Although the practical evaluation is not a required part of the online course, we strongly recommend completing it under the supervision of your employer to ensure your mastery of the safety training topics.

Stormwater Pollution Train the Trainer Certificate
Becoming a trainer is ultimately an employer designation. For those who are becoming trainers on their own, you simply have to be able to justify why you are competent enough to be a trainer. Regulating organizations typically want you to have experience and training. While we travel the country certifying trainers, the online training course is an easy and cost-effective way to help employers make the designation by offering the required training.
The Online Course For Stormwater Pollution Train the Trainer Includes: Introduction and General Principles, Permits, SWPP, BMPs, NOIs & NOTs, and conclusion. Upon completion, gain access to and print off your test, certificate, and a checklist which you can use to observe employees. This course also includes a complete training kit. These kits come with everything you need to put on your own training in-house. Everything can be reused and customized as needed to make it fit your specific situation.
The kit contains all of the files we use when we go on-site to train operators and trainers (Main PowerPoint presentation, student manual files, exams and answer keys, safety poster files, standards, certificate and wallet card templates, hundreds of accident profiles which can be used for toolbox meetings, the classroom forms you need, etc.).
We send our trainers all over the country training both operators and trainers. And even though OSHA does not require a train-the-trainer certificate (they are more interested in what topics are being trained on), many companies and individuals feel more comfortable going through the trainer program from a well-established, industry-recognized training company like us. But it doesn’t always make sense financially for companies. That is why we’ve created the option to get certified online. If you are comfortable training and comfortable with the equipment, you can simply purchase the online trainer course, get your certificate and training kit, and start training. It is a very cost-effective way to go.
